Hammertone Copper Ring

Hammertone Copper Ring

$70.00 AUD

Copper has been worn for centuries for its natural healing properties. Thought to reduce inflammation, support circulation, and bring balance to the body, it’s long been considered a grounding metal,  one that carries the quiet energy of the earth.

Naturally antibacterial and resistant to the elements, copper responds to the life it lives. Over time, it darkens and softens, forming a rich patina unique to its wearer, a slow and beautiful evolution that reflects time, touch, and connection. No two rings are exactly alike.

Copper is known for its natural healing properties. It’s believed to:
– Reduce inflammation and joint pain
– Improve circulation
– Support the immune system
– Promote calm and balance
– Naturally resist bacteria and fungi

RING SIZING

Find your perfect fit

Each Bone & Wood ring is handmade and designed to feel just right. To help you find your ideal size, here’s a simple guide using everyday materials or Jason’s sizing tools.

All rings are sized using the UK/AUS ring sizing system. Jason uses a metal mandrel and ring sizer (shown in the reference images) to ensure each ring is measured with accuracy and consistency.

How to find your size

  1. Use a Jeweller’s Sizing Tool
Visit your local jeweller and ask for your UK/AUS ring size using a ring sizer or mandrel (not US sizes).
  2. Meet with Jason at the Bone & Wood Stall at Manly Markets
If you’re local, you can try on Jason’s exact sizing rings at the Manly Markets.
  3. Already Own a Ring That Fits?
Bring it along, or ask a jeweller to measure its size on a mandrel. Let Jason know the letter size (e.g. P, Q½, etc).

Measuring at Home

Circumference Method (Finger)
You’ll need:

  • A strip of paper (5mm wide)
  • A pen or pencil
  • A ruler

Wrap the strip around the base of your finger, mark where the ends meet, and measure in millimetres. This gives your finger’s circumference.

Diameter Method (Existing Ring)
You’ll need:

  • A ring that fits well
  • A ruler

Lay the ring flat and measure the inside edge to edge. If it’s not perfectly round, use the shortest distance.

Helpful Tips

  • If you’re between sizes, size up—especially for wide bands or stacking.
  • Finger size can vary throughout the day depending on warmth and hydration. Measure a few times for accuracy.
  • For wide bands, going up half a size often helps.

Buying a Gift?

To keep it a surprise:

  • Measure a ring they already wear.
  • Use a string or paper strip while they sleep.
  • Ask a friend or family member who might know their size.
